Joe Webb is one of Neath’s great success stories. He’s aMercury Music Prize nominated musician who’s shared a stage with Jools Holland,and written songs for Raye. Since leaving Neath to pursue a career in music,Joe has garnered a reputation as one of the world’s most formidable jazzpianists, and Neath Arts Festival is delighted to be staging his homecomingshow!

In what promises to be an unmissable event, Joe Webb will bejoined by bassist Will Sach and drummer Sam Jesson to perform songs from Joe’slatest album ‘Neath Beat’. The sound draws on the velocity and harmonicimagination of Art Tatum, channelled through a modern, British sensibility shapedby the melodic directness and confidence of Oasis.

Ers gadael Castell-nedd er mwyn astudio cerddoriaethmae Joe wedi ennill enw da fel un o bianyddion jazz mwyaf talentog eigenhedlaeth, ac mae Gŵyl Gelfyddydau Castell-nedd yn falch iawn o’i groesawu efadref!
