LEGENDS OF WELSH COMEDY & MUSIC FEATURING OWEN MONEY MBE,
COLIN PRICE AND OSCAR & THE KINGFISHERS.

We are pleased to present three famous names from the Welsh World of Entertainment here at the Gwyn Theatre, Neath. 
COMEDY
Starring the incomparable OWEN MONEY MBE who will grace the stage with his bounding personality and charm. Owen Money starred with many bands including Gerry Braden and the Cheating Hearts then Tomfoolery who were very successful in the UK with successful summer seasons in Blackpool. He is also known for his very popular BBC radio shows – "Money for Nothing" and "Owen Moneys Solid Gold Sundays". 

The legendary COLIN PRICE has been on the scene for many years. Once a Miner, he started entertaining in many concert parties learning his craft as one of Wales favourite comedians. Colin has worked all over the UK and worked abroad in places like Dubai to celebrate St David’s Day. He appeared on the very popular COMEDIANS Show for Granada Television. Recently Colin has been appearing with famous sporting personalities in the “After Dinner Speaking” Nights. He also supported Max Boyce on many theatre tours. Colins popularity is due to the fact that he can vary his act to suit the audience and the occasion.  We are honoured to have Colin taking part in this iconic show.
MUSIC
We are very proud to be able to present Icons of Welsh music which is provided by the well known group OSCAR & THE KINGFISHERS – Once known as The Arwyn Jones band, the Kingfishers earned him the nickname “Oscar”. During the sixties, seventies and eighties with Oscar, they became quite famous appearing in venues all over the UK including the famous Batley Variety Club. Oscar is the father of Kelly Jones (from The Stereophonics) and in the early years, Kelly spent a lot of his youth in Working Men’s Clubs watching his Father perform. Oscar was a major influence in the early years of his son's career, who later had world-wide hits with the group – "The Stereophonics".
